xxxFor Paul and his group

Dear Paul, Here is a map showing some of the more beautiful (and romantic!) places that we know near Sant Feliu. We are sure you will find many more than we know, but maybe this will give you a start… If you click through to the larger map you can see the small comments we have added for each balloon. The red balloon shows the location of Marona, where you will be staying. Going down the coast first, you drive through Sant Feliu de Guixols, following the coast road until you see signs to the Ermita de Sant Elm (see also our page showing the Ermita). This is the yellow balloon on the map below. Just a little further on, continuing on the coast road, you will come to a pathway down to a cove (there used to be a sign warning of rock falls but we cannot see it on Google at the moment). This is the green balloon on the map. You can follow the path down and at first it is very easy. The views are truly beautiful! Then the path becomes more difficult and parts of the wall have crumbled away. Then you get to some stone steps which are ok but, again, the wall has crumbled so it is not good for people who do not like heights! Finally you have to scramble across the rocks. If you go there, do take a small snack and your snorkelling gear ( there are a couple of pairs of goggles and snorkels at Marona (if they have not been taken by someone), but they are very cheap). If you do not like rocks, take some shoes to swim in too (although we do not). The only thing to remember is that, what you have carried down (easy) you have to carry up again (harder). There is also a beautiful cove that some of our guests have really loved called Cale Canyet at Canyet de Mar. It is a short drive further on from our cove. This is shown as the purple balloon on the map.   View Beautiful spots in Sant Feliu de Guixols in a larger map   Now going up the coast… The Platja Sant Pol is very nice indeed… But I’m afraid we haven’t put any pictures on the website yet. There is a beautiful walk along the headland which we enjoy very much (the pink balloon), going past the Sant Pol sand dunes which they make a lot of! We have marked our favourite restaurant the Maria Rosa (turquoise balloon) too.
